Job Description

Maryland Master Electricians License - REQUIRED General job description:
  • Layout, dismantle, install, maintain, repair, and test electrical devices, fixtures, control equipment, meters, instruments, and wiring throughout the facility.
  • Make new installations of electrical/electronic equipment throughout the plant.
  • Read, interpret, develop, and update blueprints, charts, and sketches.
  • Adjust, calibrate, troubleshoot, analyze, and repair electrical/electronic equipment as required, including voltage equipment requiring precision.
  • Qualified Applicants must have a good working knowledge of the following: DC drives, VFDs, PLCs, Single and three-phase motors, process controllers, switchgear, and relay logic troubleshooting.
  • Pneumatic over electric tank level controls are a plus. Knowledge of electronics, instrumentation, and thermal scanning techniques is a plus.
  • Operate assigned mobile equipment during repairs and to transport and install material and equipment.
  • Keep equipment and working area in safe, clean, and orderly condition.
  • Prior work experience in a manufacturing facility is a plus.
  • Be able to read written instructions and follow verbal instructions.
  • Write legibly.
  • The physical requirements are: o Standing 1-3 hours o Stooping and bending o Reaching above your head o Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. o Ability to climb a ladder
  • Alertness to recognize mechanical issues that may arise with the equipment.
  • Must also be able to use power tools, hand tools, service gauges, shop machines, personal computers, lifting devices, and forklifts.
