- 35/HrJob DescriptionThis role offers an experienced commercial electrician the opportunity to work on a large new hotel project in Hagerstown, Maryland, with responsibilities that include installing electrical systems, fixtures, and equipment in a commercial construction environment.
Responsibilities
- Install and bend electrical conduit to specification throughout the project
- Pull electrical wire and cable safely and efficiently for power and lighting systems
- Install, wire, and terminate electrical panel boxes according to plans and codes
- Install LED lighting systems, light fixtures, receptacles, and related devices
- Install and work with MC cable and other commercial wiring methods
- Read and interpret blueprints and electrical drawings to plan and execute installations
- Operate an aerial lift or boom lift when required to complete elevated work, following all safety procedures
- Perform mechanical and electrical wiring tasks for commercial power and lighting systems
- Work on various commercial projects such as a new hotel, retail fit-outs, warehouses, and retirement centers
- Follow all safety policies, including the use of required PPE and fall protection when needed
- Coordinate daily tasks with the foreperson or lead and provide updates on progress and issues
- Maintain and use personal electrical tools and equipment in good working condition
- Ensure work meets quality standards, project specifications, and applicable electrical codes
- Work both indoors and outdoors as required by project conditions and schedules
- Support project completion timelines by working scheduled hours and adapting to changing site needs.
- At least 3 years of experience as a commercial electrician, with 3-5 years of commercial experience preferred
- Proven experience bending and installing conduit in commercial environments
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and electrical drawings
- Hands-on experience pulling wire, installing lighting, receptacles, and panel boxes
- Proficiency working with LED lighting, MC cable, and commercial wiring methods
- Experience operating an aerial lift or boom lift for elevated work
- Reliable transportation to travel to job sites in Hagerstown, Maryland and surrounding areas
- Ownership and use of personal electrical tools suitable for commercial electrical work
- Strong understanding of commercial electrical systems, wiring, and lighting
- Ability to follow safety procedures and use required PPE consistently
- Capability to work full-time hours, Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.

The role involves both indoor and outdoor work, depending on project phase and site conditions. Standard work hours are Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., with an expectation to support project timelines as needed. You will use typical commercial electrical tools and equipment, including conduit benders, wiring tools, and aerial or boom lifts when required. The job site follows strict safety practices, and you must wear appropriate attire, including jeans, steel-toe footwear, a T-shirt, high-visibility gear, a hard hat, and a harness when working at heightJob Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Hagerstown, MD.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00
