Industrial Electrician (Maintenance Electrical Technician) East Jordan Plastics is seeking a skilled Industrial Electrician (Maintenance Electrical Technician) to join our maintenance team. This position serves as the plant's electrical expert, supporting production through troubleshooting, repairs, equipment installations, preventative maintenance, and continuous improvement initiatives. What You'll Do Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair industrial electrical systems and manufacturing equipment. Read and interpret electrical schematics and prints to identify and resolve equipment issues. Access and troubleshoot PLCs, servo drive systems, remote I/O systems, and industrial controls. Support equipment installations, upgrades, and electrical projects involving 120/208VAC and 277/480VAC systems. Perform preventative maintenance activities to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime. Collaborate with maintenance teammates during production line changeovers and equipment improvements. Serve as a resource for electrical safe work practices and support compliance with
NFPA 70E
standards. Partner with vendors and internal resources to troubleshoot equipment using remote access technologies. Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to enhance equipment performance and reliability. What We're Looking For Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED. Michigan Journeyman or Master Electrician License. 5-7 years of industrial electrical maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
