Industrial Electrician
Job Description
Core Duties Identify and resolve issues with production and manufacturing hardware. Execute routine and remedial upkeep to ensure machinery remains operational. Analyze equipment malfunctions to establish the appropriate corrective actions. Swap out or fix electrical and mechanical parts whenever required. Utilize technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics to guide your work. Operate various power tools, hand tools, and specialized testing devices. Address sudden equipment failures to help keep production delays to a minimum. Carry out all planned maintenance tasks on schedule. Adhere to all facility safety protocols, such as lockout/tagout (LOTO), to support a secure environment. Keep your workspace organized and hazard-free. Record all maintenance activities and repairs in the system. Collaborate effectively with maintenance colleagues and production staff. Take on other maintenance-related tasks as requested. Candidate Profile Prior background in a manufacturing or industrial setting. Advanced capabilities in diagnosing and resolving technical problems. Capacity to operate safely in proximity to heavy production machinery. Proficiency in interpreting technical documentation and blueprints. Comfortable working within a UAW/unionized manufacturing facility. Possession of a GED or high school diploma. Flexibility to work weekends, overtime, and assigned shifts. Desired Background Experience within high-volume or automotive manufacturing sectors. Demonstrated history working with industrial production equipment. Skilled at diagnosing electrical and mechanical system faults. Prior tenure in a unionized work environment.
