This vital role involves installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems across various commercial and industrial settings. As a Journeyman Electrician, you will work on complex electrical projects, ensuring all work complies with safety standards and electrical codes. Your expertise will help keep our operations running smoothly while delivering high-quality electrical solutions that meet client specifications. Responsibilities Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in commercial and industrial facilities, including high-voltage wiring and low-voltage systems. Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to accurately execute projects. Perform electrical diagnostics using tools such as ohmmeters, ammeters, and multimeters to identify faults and ensure proper system operation. Conduct maintenance on industrial motors, motor control equipment, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and other electrical machinery to optimize performance. Ensure all work adheres to NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code) standards, NEC guidelines, and local electrical building codes for safety and compliance. Install and connect electrical components including conduit systems, switchgear, circuit breakers, transformers, and high-voltage equipment. Follow strict electrical safety procedures during all phases of work to prevent accidents or injuries on construction sites or maintenance projects. Qualifications Proven experience as an industrial electrician or commercial electrician with a strong understanding of electrical systems installation and maintenance. Ability to read electrical blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and wiring diagrams accurately. Knowledge of NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code), NEC guidelines, and local electrical building codes. Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, testing instruments such as ohmmeters and ammeters for diagnostics. Experience working with high-voltage systems and performing high-voltage wiring tasks safely. Familiarity with industrial motor maintenance and repair as well as troubleshooting complex electrical issues. Construction site experience with the ability to adapt quickly to changing environments while maintaining safety standards. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues efficiently using schematics and technical manuals.
