An Electrician works on electrical systems in buildings. Installs electrical wiring and lighting in new construction, and repairs or upgrade wiring, outlets or other parts of older electrical systems. Checks safety and makes installations or repairs that are in compliance with local building codes. May also specialize in electrical work required in different manufacturing industries, electrical systems for cars, plane or boats, or electrical and lighting work in the film industry.

Job Description
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Replacement of in-unit electrical subpanels Installs and repair wiring and electrical fixtures following electrical code Installs and repair control and distribution apparatus, including motors, relays switches, thermostats, circuit-breaker panels Diagnose and resolve problems in electrical circuits, systems, and equipment Works with supervisors to complete projects Occasional travel to other sites within our region Other duties as assigned by supervisor Must own some basic tools for use on the job Must have own transportation to move around the community or to other Solomon properties.JOB REQUIREMENTS
Ability to work full time 40 hours per week 5+ years actual hands on experience Ability to assess problems and solve them with a strong sense of urgency A high school diploma or equivalent and professional knowledge of business disciplinesQUALITIES

Ability to lift 50+ lbs. Position requires bending, lifting, kneeling, twisting, and performing installations at awkward angles. Work environment may include loud noises, dust, dirt, and minor hazards.WHAT WE OFFER!
