A positive attitude and an eagerness to learn and grow will be attributes characterized by our ideal candidate! As a Machine Tool Electrician with Balance Technology, some of your responsibilities will include: Plans new or modified installations to minimize waste of materials, provide access for future maintenance, and avoid unsightly, hazardous, and unreliable wiring, consistent with specifications and local electrical codes. Measures, cuts, bends, threads, assembles, and installs electrical conduit. Pulls wiring through conduit. Splices wires by stripping insulation from terminal leads, twisting or soldering wires together, and applying tape or terminal caps. Connects wiring to lighting fixtures and power equipment. Installs control and distribution apparatus such as switches, relays, and circuit-breaker panels. Tests continuity of circuit to ensure electrical compatibility and safety of components with testing instruments such as ohmmeter, battery and buzzer, and oscilloscope. Observes functioning of installed equipment or system to detect hazards and need for adjustments, relocation, or replacement. Repairs faulty equipment or systems. Cuts and welds steel structural members. We believe to be a successful Machine Tool Electrician you will need the following: High school diploma or equivalent with strong technical background. Demonstrated electrical aptitude with ability to safely and correctly use a variety of tools. Demonstrated organizational skills to efficiently plan and complete work tasks. Experience working with Continuous Improvement methods used in Lean Manufacturing Environments. Understanding of demands for high volume production environments required for automation equipment.
