Job Description
- Posted on August 24, 2026 Published By Sarah Eakes Trillium Construction is seeking Licensed Journeyman Electricians and Registered Licensed Apprentice Electricians near Minneapolis, MN to work on a commercial rooftop solar installation. Key Responsibilities
- Layout and install roof-mounted racking systems anchoring to roof structure or ballasted mount
- Install flashing, standoffs, or attachment points per roofing manufacturer requirements (critical for warranty compliance — roofing membrane penetrations need to be done correctly)
- Set and secure PV modules onto racking, including proper module clamping/torque per manufacturer spec
- Run and secure DC conduit (EMT, rigid, or PVC per spec) across rooftop racking systems
- Install module-level equipment: MC4 connectors, whips, homerun conduit runs
- Mount and wire string inverters or install DC wiring to central/central-string inverter locations
- Torque and terminate connections per manufacturer specs
- Install grounding and bonding for racking, modules, and conduit runs (equipment grounding conductors, bonding jumpers)
- Route conduit to maintain roof penetration and pathway plans, coordinating with roofing/structural crew to avoid membrane damage
