PURPOSE/SCOPE

The Electrician position will perform various levelsof electrical work in the design, specification, installation, modification, repair and maintenance of electrical systems, electrical equipment, controls/instrumentation, and other related work asrequired. To support manufacturing operations bymaintaining, trouble shooting,and repairing all facilities and manufacturing equipment in a safe and orderly fashion as directed by the maintenance supervisor and/or department manager.

GENERAL RESPONISIBILITIES

Inspect, isolate, troubleshoot, and repair electrical malfunctions using various test instruments and following state and local building regulations based on the National Electric Code. Test,calibrate,andmaintainelectrical equipment for safety and efficiency. Manage and support related facility projects, including layout and wiring of new andmodifiedelectrical systems along with filing the proper permits. Troubleshoot, repair, andmaintainelectrical systems from low voltage up to 480V. Provide maintenance and machine operation information and orassistanceto machine operators as needed. Inspect completed work for conformance with specifications, requirements and compliance with applicable building and safety codes and regulations; inspect and direct related work performed by outside contractors. Create cost,time,and materials estimates for electrical projects. Troubleshoot, repair, andmaintainelectrical systems from low voltage up to 480V. Assistsin theimplementationand improvement of effective preventive maintenance programs for all equipment, performing scheduled maintenance on facilities and production equipment asrequired. Maintain and update equipment records, schematics, blueprints, and files in orderly fashion. Provide oversight of electrical work performed by registered unlicensed electricians, including verification and approval of hours reported to the state.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

High school degree or G.E.D. with completion of in-house, military, or trade school apprenticeship electrician program that includes theoretical work and on-the-job, hands-on training. 5+ years as a MN licensed electrician in a commercial, industrial, or facilitiesoperationssetting. Required to hold a State of Minnesota Class A Master Electrician License and become the Master of Record for Tennant Company within90 days. Experience with automation, PLC,BMS,and related control systems. Must be able to troubleshoot,repairandmaintainequipment and machinery in an industrial manufacturing environment. Ability to read, write, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, blueprints, diagrams, schematics, equipment instructions, requirements, and business correspondences. Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS). Knowledge of the National Electricalcodeand

NFPA-70E

is necessary. Ability to learnthe operationof forktruck, platformlift, boomlift,andboat(stockchaser).

Work experience inthe following areas:

pneumatics, metal fabrication, welding, boiler operation, building maintenance, electronics, and electrical.

Support facility and operations leadership in the planning and implementation of electrical engineering standards and deliverables in capital projects. Work closely with the Facilities Safetyteamto ensure all safety procedures are followed. Maintains a clean and organized job site. Clean,maintain,and service the tools and equipment used in the performance of duties. Manage electrical parts inventories. Complete other relatedduties asassigned by management. Alwaysconductsthemselvesin a professional manner and always makes decisions in the best interest of the company. Participate in electrical safety programs andbe responsible formaintainingcompliance. Completes necessary safety training. Total Compensation = Pay range + Benefits Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. Tennant Sales and Service Co. reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualifications of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity. The salary range reflects both entry into the role and future growth.
