Job Description Salary Range:
Compensation for under 5 credits is $1,650 per semester credit. Those teaching more than five credits are temporary part-time employees and can move to the faculty salary schedule.Minimum Qualifications:
Education Requirement Two-year diploma in an electrician program or completion of a registered electrician apprenticeship program. Occupational Experience Requirement Four full-time (or equivalent) years of verified related paid work experience as a licensed electrician in residential and commercial. Recency Requirement One year of this work experience shall be within the five years immediately preceding the date of application for the credential field. The recency requirement shall be waived if the individual has two years of successful full-time (or equivalent) postsecondary teaching experience in the credential field within the last five years.Preferred Qualification:

Installs electrical wiring and lighting in new construction, and repairs or upgrade wiring, outlets or other parts of older electrical systems. Checks safety and makes installations or repairs that are in compliance with local building codes. May also specialize in electrical work required in different manufacturing industries, electrical systems for cars, plane or boats, or electrical and lighting work in the film industry.
