Job Description

Rahr Malting is looking for a Maintenance Electrician Shakopee! The Maintenance Electrician ensures that all electrical maintenance activities and projects are executed in line with best practice and standards, driving for effective and timely reliability.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Installation of Industrial electrical equipment. Perform preventative maintenance tasks. Maintain equipment files and documents Responsible for optimizing spare parts. Execute job assignments. Complete daily, weekly and turnaround schedules for planned work. Use of PLC/HMI as a troubleshooting tool. Complete installations in accordance with NEC requirements. Ability to install, troubleshoot, repair all types of electrical equipment and lighting. General understanding of instrumentation devices and equipment.
MINIMUM EDUCATION & WORK REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge of the NEC Code and 70E Safety. 1+ years of electrical maintenance experience preferred but not required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Strong ability to collaborate with others in working towards common solutions. Ability to work independently or with others. Extensive knowledge of maintenance procedures, equipment, and tools. Excellent communication skills Familiar with electrical safety procedures including use of PPE. Performing electrical projects in a plant environment Understanding Industrial Electricity and Motor Circuit evaluation. Experience in an industrial environment preferred Ability to work in various environments including but not limited to: Hot/cold, wet, dusty, elevated heights

Occasionally works in adverse conditions such as extreme weather, at heights and confined spaces. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Moderate noise levels in the work environment; hearing protection is available.
