The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in electrical work, a solid understanding of conduit systems, and a passion for learning and advancing their skills in the electrical trade.
Responsibilities Conduit Installation:
Proficiently install, bend, and thread conduits of various types and sizes according to electrical specifications and project requirements.
Blueprint Reading:
Interpret electrical drawings and blueprints to determine the layout and installation of conduit systems.
Wiring and Termination:
Assist in the wiring and termination of electrical systems, ensuring compliance with local codes and safety standards.
Material Handling:
Responsible for the proper handling and storage of electrical materials, tools, and equipment.
Collaboration:
Work closely with journeyman electricians and other team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively.
Safety Compliance:
Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and others.
Problem Solving:
Identify and troubleshoot electrical issues, proposing effective solutions with attention to quality and efficiency.
Continuous Learning:
Actively seek opportunities for professional development and advancement within the electrical trade. Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols. Requirements Proven experience as a Journeyperson Electrician with a strong background in both residential and commercial settings. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment such as ohmmeters. Knowledge of high voltage and low voltage systems is essential. Familiarity with reading schematics and understanding technical drawings. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in various environments. A valid electrician's license or certification is preferred. Commitment to safety practices in all aspects of work. Must work well with both residential and commercial clients to access their electrical needs and explain technical issues in clear language .
