Job Overview Join our dynamic team as an Electrical Apprentice and kick-start your career in the electrical industry! This paid apprenticeship offers a hands-on opportunity to develop essential skills in electrical systems installation, wiring, blueprint reading, and safety procedures. Under the guidance of experienced electricians, you'll gain practical experience working on commercial and industrial electrical projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards such as NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code). This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to learn, grow, and contribute to high-quality electrical work across construction sites and facilities. Responsibilities Assist in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings. Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to support accurate installations. Use hand tools and power tools to bend conduit, wire circuits, and assemble electrical components according to specifications. Conduct conduit bending, electrical wiring, and low voltage system installations while adhering to safety protocols. Support the testing of electrical circuits using tools like ohmmeters and ensure systems meet NFPA 70 compliance standards. Follow strict safety procedures during all phases of electrical work to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment. Collaborate with licensed electricians on construction sites to complete projects efficiently and accurately. Qualifications Prior experience or familiarity with industrial or commercial electrician work is preferred. Knowledge of electrical schematic reading, blueprint interpretation, and electrical blueprint reading is highly desirable. Hands-on experience with conduit bending, electrical wiring, and installation of electrical systems. Ability to operate power tools safely and effectively in a construction environment. Understanding of NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code) standards and general electrical safety procedures. Experience working on construction sites with exposure to high voltage and low voltage systems. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret schematics and technical diagrams accurately. Construction experience including framing carpentry is a plus but not required.
