Duties Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in residential and commercial environments using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment such as ohmmeters. Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to accurately execute wiring layouts and system configurations. Perform maintenance on residential electrical systems, including low voltage control circuits and high-voltage wiring, ensuring compliance with NFPA 70 (National Fire Protection Association standards) and NEC (National Electrical Code). Conduct electrical diagnostics to identify faults or inefficiencies within complex electrical systems; implement effective solutions promptly. Follow strict electrical safety procedures during all phases of work to prevent accidents or injuries; adhere to OSHA regulations and local electrical codes at all times. Collaborate with construction teams during renovation or new build projects to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems according to blueprints and schematics. Qualifications Proven experience as an electrician with a strong background in residential and commercial electrical systems. Demonstrated ability to read electrical schematics, blueprints, and schematics accurately. Knowledge of NFPA 70 compliance standards, NEC regulations, and local electrical codes. Hands-on experience with high-voltage wiring, low voltage systems, troubleshooting electrical issues, and performing diagnostics using tools such as ohmmeters. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, power supplies, and testing equipment necessary for electrical work. Construction site experience preferred; familiarity with renovation projects is a plus. Ability to interpret technical diagrams and schematics effectively; previous experience reading blueprints is essential. Strong commitment to safety procedures related to electrical work; understanding of NFPA 70 standards is highly desirable. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex electrical systems efficiently.
