Job Description

SIS Group is seeking a dependable and experienced Grain Dryer Technician to join our team. This position will be responsible for installing, servicing, troubleshooting, and repairing grain dryer systems and related electrical/mechanical equipment. The ideal candidate will have experience working around grain handling systems, industrial equipment, controls, motors, burners, fans, sensors, and related electrical components. This is a hands-on role for someone who can work safely, solve problems in the field, and support customers during installation, maintenance, and seasonal operation. Responsibilities Install, inspect, troubleshoot, service, and repair grain dryer systems. Diagnose electrical and mechanical issues on grain dryers, fans, burners, motors, sensors, controls, and related equipment. Perform preventative maintenance and seasonal startup/shutdown support. Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, manuals, and equipment documentation. Troubleshoot control panels, motor starters, limit switches, temperature sensors, flame safety controls, relays, and related components. Assist with electrical wiring, conduit, terminations, equipment hookups, and control wiring. Work safely around grain bins, elevators, conveyors, augers, dryers, and industrial/agricultural equipment. Communicate with customers, supervisors, and team members regarding job progress, parts needed, and equipment issues. Complete service reports, time sheets, inspection forms, and required job documentation. Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe and organized manner. Follow all company safety policies, customer site requirements, and applicable OSHA standards. Requirements Experience working on grain dryers, grain handling equipment, agricultural equipment, or industrial mechanical/electrical systems preferred. Strong electrical troubleshooting skills preferred. Ability to troubleshoot motors, controls, burners, fans, sensors, and wiring. Ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and equipment manuals. Basic mechanical skills, including working with belts, bearings, motors, fans, augers, conveyors, and related components. Ability to use meters, hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment. Must be dependable, safety-focused, and able to work independently or as part of a crew. Ability to work outdoors, at heights, in confined areas, and in agricultural/industrial environments. Ability to lift, climb, bend, and perform physically demanding work as needed. Must have a valid driver's license. Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and seasonal call-outs when required. Preferred Qualifications Electrical, HVAC, burner, agricultural equipment, or industrial maintenance background. Experience with grain dryers such as GSI, Sukup, Brock, Zimmerman, Superb, or similar systems. Experience with PLCs, VFDs, motor controls, flame safety systems, and temperature/moisture controls. OSHA 10, aerial lift, forklift, or confined space training is a plus. Welding/fabrication experience is a plus. Compensation Pay based on experience. Overtime available. Travel/per diem may apply depending on project location. Pay:
$29.00 - $39.00 per hour
