Journeyman Electrician Matrix Communications Inc - 3.5 Fargo, ND Job Details Full-time $30 - $65 an hour 23 hours ago Qualifications Cable systems installation Equipment installation Journeyman Electrician Full Job Description Matrix-NDI is seeking experienced Journeyman Electrician to support the construction of a large-scale hyperscale data center in North Dakota. This position will primarily focus on the installation of power-limited basket tray systems and associated support infrastructure throughout the data center environment. The Journeyman Electrician will work as part of a fast-paced construction team responsible for completing high-quality installations in accordance with project drawings, specifications, applicable electrical codes, manufacturer requirements, and site-specific safety standards. Duties and responsibilities Install power-limited basket tray, wire mesh cable tray, and associated support systems in accordance with project drawings, specifications, and installation standards. Measure, lay out, cut, modify, and assemble basket tray systems while maintaining proper elevations, spacing, clearances, and routing. Read and interpret electrical plans, construction drawings, specifications, and details to complete accurate field installations. Install supports, threaded rod, brackets, trapezes, and related hardware required for cable tray systems. Coordinate work with other trades, identify field conflicts, and communicate installation issues to project leadership. Ensure completed work meets applicable NEC requirements, customer standards, manufacturer requirements, and project quality expectations. Follow all site safety requirements and participate in daily planning and safety meetings. Other duties as assigned Qualifications Active Journeyman Electrician license recognized by the state of North Dakota Previous commercial, industrial, or date center construction experience highly preferred Experience installing basket tray, wire mesh cable tray, cable support systems, or similar electrical infrastructure required Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, electrics plans, specifications, and installation details Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC), construction layout, measurements, elevations, and installation requirements Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, ladders, scissor lifts, boom lifts, and other construction equipment as required Dependable, safety focused, detail orientated, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, that may require overtime, extended shift, and weekends. Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and equipment weighing 50 pounds. Ability to regularly stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, climb, reach, and work overhead for extended periods of time Ability to climb and work from ladders, scaffolding, scissor lifts, and other elevated work platforms. Working conditions Ability to work in an active construction environment that may include dust, noise, temperature fluctuations, and other typical construction-site conditions.
