Electrician CHI Health Nebraska Heart - 3.6 Lincoln, NE Job Details Full-time $25.42 - $37.82 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Driver's License Full Job Description Job Summary and Responsibilities As an Electrician, you will be a central figure responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of critical electrical systems and equipment, ensuring safe, reliable, and compliant power distribution throughout our facilities. You will play a vital role in supporting our infrastructure, preventing disruptions, and upholding safety standards. Every day, you will expertly diagnose electrical malfunctions, meticulously install and troubleshoot wiring, circuits, and components, and perform preventive maintenance on diverse electrical systems, from basic outlets to complex machinery. You will also interpret blueprints and schematics, adhere strictly to electrical codes and safety regulations, and collaborate with other trades and departments to ensure efficient and safe operation of all electrical assets. To be successful in this role, you will combine a valid Electrician's license, extensive experience in commercial or industrial electrical systems, and a profound understanding of electrical theory, codes, and safety procedures. You will demonstrate exceptional diagnostic and problem-solving skills, a meticulous attention to detail in all tasks, and thrive in a dynamic, hands-on environment dedicated to maintaining a safe and fully functional electrical infrastructure. Conducts required NFPA testing, documentation, and operation of emergency power systems, emergency lighting systems throughout the Real Estate properties. Performs preventive maintenance on normal power distribution systems and responds to calls for troubles on the equipment. Maintains interior and outside lighting systems. Performs repairs and preventive maintenance on other equipment and systems such as Medical Gas, Vacuum systems, fire detection, Energy Plant Equipment, Building HVAC and other facilities equipment and controls. Documents work orders in the electronic work order system. Regularly inspects buildings, grounds and facility equipment for unsafe or malfunctioning conditions and reports findings, as well as making corrections. Locates and purchases repair parts, maintain inventory consistent with budget and priority of equipment maintained consistent with the appropriate management approvals and policies. Responds to calls from the work call center, accurately completes work orders, and coordinates repairs and other service requests with customer's schedule. Responds quickly to requests of departments utilizing our services and provides timely status reports about condition of equipment being serviced.
