Superior Skilled Trades is seeking Commissioning Electricians for an immediate start in Sparks, NV!
LONG-TERM PROJECT, 1+ YEAR DURATION, OVERTIME, PER DIEM!
PAY:
$57-$60/hour (based upon experience)
PER DIEM
$150/day, up to 6 days/week (for Travelers only)
HOURS:
40+ hours/week
SCHEDULE
Monday-Friday; 7:00 am - 3:00 pm
START DATE
ASAP
DURATION:
1+ year (project is expected to continue for approximately 5 years)
Commissioning Electrician Job Description:
We are looking for experienced Commissioning Electricians to test, verify, troubleshoot, and commission electrical systems on a large-scale data center project. The ideal candidate will have strong commercial or industrial electrical experience and be comfortable testing electrical equipment and identifying issues before systems are placed into operation.
Daily responsibilities may include:
Testing and verifying electrical equipment and systems to ensure proper operation
Performing startup and functional testing of electrical systems
Testing switchgear, breakers, transformers, generators, UPS systems, ATS equipment, and distribution panels
Performing megger/insulation resistance, continuity, and voltage testing
Checking controls, interlocks, alarms, and emergency power systems
Troubleshooting electrical wiring, equipment, and system issues
Verifying installations against electrical drawings, specifications, and commissioning procedures
Documenting test results and identifying deficiencies or punch-list items
Working with electrical contractors, engineers, controls technicians, manufacturers, and commissioning agents
Assisting with load-bank testing and simulated power-failure testing
Confirming electrical systems operate properly under normal and emergency conditions
Troubleshooting electrical systems throughout the commissioning process
Data Center Systems:
Commissioning Electricians may work with systems including:
Utility power
Switchgear
Transformers
UPS systems
PDU/RPP systems
Distribution equipment
Critical power systems
Emergency power systems
Generators and ATS equipment
Qualifications for
Commissioning Electrician:
5+ years of commercial or industrial electrical experience
Previous electrical commissioning, testing, startup, or troubleshooting experience preferred
Strong understanding of electrical systems and equipment
Experience testing electrical equipment such as switchgear, breakers, transformers, generators, UPS, ATS, and distribution panels
Experience with megger/insulation resistance, continuity, and voltage testing
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and equipment documentation
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Data center or critical-power experience is preferred
Must be able to safely perform job duties that require standing, crouching, bending, twisting, and working at heights
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted
Additional Requirements:
Must be eligible to work in the United States
Must have reliable transportation to the job site
