Electrical Journeyman

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and motivated Electrical Journeyman/Journeywoman to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems across various residential and light commercial projects. Your expertise will ensure that all electrical work complies with safety standards, local codes, the NEC, and industry best practices. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, new construction, renovations, maintenance, and repairs. You will utilize your electrical knowledge and hands-on skills to deliver high-quality results efficiently. Responsibilities Install, wire, test, and troubleshoot electrical systems in new construction, renovations, maintenance, and repair projects using hand tools and power tools. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to accurately execute electrical layouts. Work with line and low voltage systems, ensuring proper installation and safety protocols are followed in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC). Utilize testing equipment such as ohmmeters to diagnose electrical issues and verify system integrity. Collaborate with clients, other trades, and general contractors during projects. Follow all safety procedures diligently, including proper handling of power tools and adherence to OSHA standards. Maintain records of work performed, including inspections, repairs, and system modifications. Fully capable of working efficiently and safely while alone. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents to plan and execute electrical installations. Qualifications Valid Electrical Journeyman license OR equivalent certification demonstrating comprehensive electrical training. Proven electrician experience with a strong understanding of electrical systems. Hands-on experience with low/line voltage wiring and NEC compliance requirements. Proficiency in blueprint reading, schematic interpretation, and technical documentation. Skilled in the use of hand tools and power tools. Experience working on construction sites, client homes, and businesses. Ability to operate testing devices like ohmmeters confidently for system diagnostics. Strong safety awareness with knowledge of OSHA regulations related to electrical work.
