Responsibilities Assist licensed electricians with electrical systems installation, maintenance, and repair on commercial and industrial sites Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to support project execution Use hand tools and power tools safely to bend conduit, run wiring, and install electrical components according to code specifications Conduct basic troubleshooting using voltmeters, ohmmeters, and other testing devices to identify electrical issues Follow all electrical safety procedures and protocols to ensure a safe work environment for yourself and team members Support the installation of low voltage systems and ensure compliance with NFPA 70 (National Fire Protection Association code for electrical safety) Maintain detailed records of work performed, materials used, and safety inspections in accordance with project requirements Qualifications Prior experience or familiarity with industrial or commercial electrician work is preferred but not required; a strong desire to learn is essential Ability to read electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams accurately Proficiency with hand tools such as wire strippers, screwdrivers, pliers, conduit benders, voltmeters, ohmmeters, and power tools Knowledge of electrical wiring techniques and conduit installation methods Understanding of electrical safety procedures and adherence to OSHA standards Experience working on construction sites or in similar environments is a plus Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail and safety consciousness This paid apprenticeship provides an excellent foundation for a rewarding career in the electrical trade.
