About the Electrician Role Summit Skilled Solutions is hiring an Electrician in Painted Post, NY 14870. In this full-time, direct-hire role, you will install, troubleshoot, and repair facility electrical distribution systems, electronics, automation systems, lighting systems, apparatus, and devices at an industrial facility. Pay is $29.00 to $35.00 per hour. Electrician Responsibilities Install and connect power supply wiring and conduit for lighting, general devices, newly installed machines, and building equipment Troubleshoot and support production controls and automation components Diagnose malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors, motor starters, MCC panels and circuits, variable frequency drives, and lighting fixtures, and replace damaged parts, broken wires, cables, and connections Maintain electrical distribution equipment, including 3-phase 4-wire 277/480 VAC, 3-phase 4-wire 120/208 VAC, and single-phase 3-wire 120/240 VAC systems Replace faulty electronic components such as printed circuit boards, relays, contactors, and control buttons Maintain building, task, and parking lot lighting; lighting contactors (including those controlled by the energy management system); emergency and exit lights; 120-volt outlets; and photoelectric eyes for exterior lighting Plan wiring layouts and install wiring, conduit, and electrical apparatus in buildings per the NEC Perform preventive maintenance on electrical utilities and equipment rated 480 volts or less Provide quality control following the National Electrical Code, local codes, safety regulations, and company standard practices Complete accurate and timely paperwork Keep the shop area and service van clean and organized, including inventory control, tool maintenance, and calibration of testing equipment Other duties as assigned Electrician Schedule and Pay Full-time, direct hire $29.00 to $35.00 per hour Start date: September 29, 2026 What We're Looking For in an Electrician Successful completion of an apprenticeship program Must be 21 years of age or older 5 years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience Applicable certifications and licenses, plus a valid driver's license Basic knowledge of motor controls and logic control systems Familiarity with low voltage systems, fire alarm systems, and voice and data systems Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals Ability to write routine reports and correspondence and speak effectively with customers and employees What We Offer Our Electricians Paid time off Health insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance Apply to Be an Electrician with Summit Skilled Solutions If you're an experienced electrician ready for a permanent role, apply today through Indeed.
