Position Summary As an Industrial Maintenance Electrician, you will keep production moving by troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems and production equipment throughout our aluminum wheel manufacturing operation. Your work will focus primarily on production machinery, with some general electrical maintenance and related work orders. You will also provide day-to-day guidance to a third-year electrical apprentice who will work alongside you. About Us Our parent company has been in business for more than 25 years and recently launched Pro Performance Wheels, a new aluminum wheel manufacturing operation. We are building our founding team and looking for experienced people who value quality, teamwork, and growth. What You Will Do Troubleshoot electrical and equipment problems from initial diagnosis through completed repair and verification, using schematics, wiring diagrams, meters, and other testing equipment. Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair production machinery, electrical controls, 480V systems, motors, starters, contactors, relays, sensors, and variable frequency drives (VFDs). Maintain and troubleshoot programmable logic controller (PLC)-controlled machinery, robotics, hydraulics, and other automated production equipment. Perform preventive and predictive electrical maintenance and respond to equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime. Install and maintain conduit, wiring, electrical panels, disconnects, lighting, receptacles, and other electrical components. Assist with the installation, startup, modification, and commissioning of new production equipment. Complete work orders and maintain repair, equipment, and parts records in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS). Provide day-to-day guidance and hands-on mentoring to a third-year electrical apprentice who will work alongside you. Work with the maintenance team and employees operating the equipment to understand machine issues and complete repairs. Does This Sound Like You? Required Qualifications 5+ years of hands-on industrial or manufacturing electrical experience. Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot electrical and equipment issues, identify root causes, complete repairs, and verify that equipment is operating properly. Strong knowledge of 480V industrial electrical systems, motors, controls, and production machinery. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and technical manuals. Working familiarity with PLC-controlled equipment, VFDs, sensors, robotics, hydraulics, and automated production machinery. Experience managing work orders and repair records in a CMMS or comparable computerized maintenance system. Knowledge of lockout/tagout, arc-flash requirements, National Electrical Code requirements, OSHA standards, and safe use of testing equipment. High school diploma or GED. Schedule and Work Environment Full-time, first-shift schedule: four 10-hour days, Monday - Thursday, with Fridays off. Occasional overtime opportunities are available. Manufacturing plant environment with exposure to noise, heat, dust, machinery, and other industrial conditions. Extended standing and walking, bending, kneeling, climbing, and working in varied positions. Work from ladders, lifts, and elevated platforms; safely lift and carry tools, components, and equipment as required; and wear required personal protective equipment.
