Position Summary The Industrial Electrician is responsible for the installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems and controls on production equipment throughout the facility. This role covers motor controls, PLCs, VFDs, sensors, wiring, panels, and low/medium-voltage distribution — working to minimize downtime and keep production equipment running safely and reliably. The Industrial Electrician works closely with the Maintenance Manager, Operations Leadership, and Industrial Maintenance Technicians (Millwrights) to diagnose and resolve equipment issues, often collaborating on repairs that span both electrical and mechanical systems. Key Responsibilities Preventive & Corrective Maintenance Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on electrical systems, motor controls, and automation equipment per the PM schedule Diagnose electrical faults and perform timely repairs to minimize production downtime Install and wire new or relocated equipment, including motors, VFDs, control panels, and sensors Maintain, update, and troubleshoot PLC programs and HMI systems for production equipment Troubleshooting & Response Respond promptly to electrical faults and production line stoppages Diagnose root cause of electrical/controls failures and recommend corrective/preventive action to reduce repeat failures Partner with Industrial Maintenance Technicians on issues involving both electrical and mechanical components Maintain accurate downtime, repair, and parts-usage records in the CMMS or maintenance log Controls & Automation Troubleshoot and maintain PLCs, VFDs, sensors, motor starters, and other automation/controls components Read and interpret electrical schematics, ladder logic, and wiring diagrams Support minor programming changes and troubleshooting on PLC/HMI systems in partnership with controls engineering, where applicable Electrical Systems & Compliance Maintain low- and medium-voltage electrical distribution systems, panels, and disconnects Ensure all electrical work complies with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable

standards Maintain accurate electrical documentation, panel schedules, and as-built drawings Safety & Compliance Follow lockout/tagout (LOTO), arc flash, and all applicable electrical safety procedures on every job Maintain a clean, safe work area and use required PPE, including arc-rated clothing, at all times Report unsafe equipment conditions and near-misses immediately Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED; completion of an electrical apprenticeship, technical program, or equivalent training preferred 3+ years of industrial electrical experience in a manufacturing environment Strong working knowledge of motor controls, VFDs, PLCs, and industrial wiring practices Ability to read and troubleshoot from electrical schematics and ladder logic Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and

arc flash safety standards Proficiency with electrical test equipment (multimeters, megohmmeters, clamp meters, etc.) Working knowledge of lockout/tagout and general industrial safety practices Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work at heights, and work in confined spaces as required Available for on-call/emergency maintenance response and overtime as needed Preferred Qualifications State/local electrical license or journeyman electrician status Hands-on PLC programming experience (Allen-Bradley/Rockwell, Siemens, or similar platforms) Experience with VFD setup, configuration, and troubleshooting Forklift and aerial lift certification, or willingness to obtain Experience with CMMS (computerized maintenance management systems) Basic mechanical/millwright skills (for cross-training with Mechanical Maintenance)

Pay:

$35.00 - $45.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
