Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Electrician to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems across various commercial and industrial settings. Your expertise will ensure all electrical work complies with safety standards and local electrical codes, including NFPA 70 (National Fire Protection Association code for electrical safety). This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects such as renovations, new constructions, and complex industrial electrical systems, contributing to safe and efficient operations. Responsibilities Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in commercial and industrial environments using hand tools and power tools. Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to execute precise wiring layouts. Perform high-voltage electrical wiring tasks safely while adhering to NFPA 70 standards and local electrical codes. Diagnose electrical issues using diagnostic tools such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, and multimeters; implement effective troubleshooting strategies. Install and maintain programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and low voltage systems essential for industrial automation processes. Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to identify potential hazards or failures; document findings thoroughly. Follow all electrical safety procedures diligently to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and team members. Read electrical schematics accurately to guide installation or repair activities efficiently on construction sites or existing facilities. Requirements Proven experience as an electrician with a strong background in industrial and commercial electrical systems. Extensive experience with high-voltage wiring, low voltage systems, and industrial electrical infrastructure. Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, technical diagrams, and electrical blueprints. Ability to troubleshoot complex electrical systems effectively using diagnostic tools such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, and other testing equipment. Familiarity with NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code) standards and local electrical codes; commitment to compliance at all times. Experience working on construction sites with knowledge of renovation processes; capable of handling diverse project requirements. Strong hand tool skills along with experience operating power tools safely in various environments.
