GENERAL OVERVIEW
Plans, schedules and coordinates the daily assignments of the electrical shop under the direction of the Facilities Manager. Maintains, troubleshoots and installs electrical equipment according to code.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Schedules, coordinates and performs preventative maintenance on all electrical systems including fire alarm and fire suppression systems. (25%) Coordinates and responds to emergency situations. (25%) Coordinates and performs the installation and construction of new and existing electrical, fire alarm and fire suppression systems. (25%) Coordinates and performs repair of electrical systems including fire alarm and fire suppression systems. (25%)
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Electrician's license, or journey level electrician, or completion of electrician's apprenticeship program and five (5) years experience as an electrician required. Minimum 5 years employment as an electrician working in a commercial or institutional setting, including working with electrical systems, fire alarm, and fire suppression systems. Preferred Technical or trade school graduate preferred.
