Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and dependable Commercial/Residential Electrician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems across a variety of commercial and residential projects. Your expertise will ensure all electrical work complies with local electrical codes, NFPA 70 standards (National Electrical Code), and safety procedures. Responsibilities Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in commercial and residential settings, including high-voltage wiring and low-voltage systems. Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to accurately execute wiring plans. Conduct electrical diagnostics using tools such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, and multimeters to identify issues quickly and efficiently. Perform high-voltage electrical wiring tasks safely in accordance with NFPA 70 (National Fire Protection Association standards) and local electrical codes. Utilize hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment to complete electrical installations, upgrades, or repairs on time and within scope. Follow all electrical safety procedures during installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance activities to prevent hazards. Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other tradespeople during renovation or new construction projects to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems. Read electrical blueprints and schematics accurately to plan wiring layouts for commercial or industrial electrical systems. Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, including inspection reports, compliance records, and project logs. Ensure all work meets NEC (National Electrical Code) standards as well as local regulations for safety and quality assurance. Experience Proven experience as an electrician specializing in both commercial and residential projects. Demonstrated expertise in troubleshooting complex electrical issues using diagnostic tools such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs). Hands-on experience with high-voltage wiring installations in industrial environments or large-scale commercial facilities. Familiarity with NFPA 70 standards (National Electrical Code) along with local electrical codes for safe installation practices. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, schematics reading skills, and interpret technical drawings accurately. Construction site experience including renovation projects that require adaptability across different environments. Knowledge of low voltage systems including security alarms or automation controls is a plus. Skilled in the use of hand tools such as wire strippers, screwdrivers, pliers as well as power tools required for heavy-duty electrical work. Must have own hand and power tools. Strong understanding of electrical safety procedures to maintain a safe working environment at all times. Previous experience working on industrial electrical systems involving high voltage or complex circuitry is highly desirable.
