Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal consumption to promote health and well-being. Support residents with medication administration following prescribed instructions, ensuring safety protocols are strictly followed. Provide companionship and emotional support, fostering a caring environment that respects each individual's dignity and preferences. Maintain cleanliness of residents' living areas through regular cleaning routines, ensuring a safe and hygienic environment. Assist with transportation for appointments or outings, providing personal transportation assistance as needed. Requirements Prior experience working with individuals in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health settings is highly preferred. Knowledge of patient observation techniques, dementia care—including Alzheimer's and memory care—and experience working with individuals with neurodevelopmental or developmental disabilities is advantageous. Certification in first aid and CPR is required; ongoing training in medication administration, patient monitoring, and HIPAA compliance is expected. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and utilize patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts; manual handling skills are essential. Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and team collaboration. Experience working with diverse populations including geriatrics, clients with autism or intellectual disabilities, and those requiring hospice or palliative care is beneficial.
