The Senior Electrician will play a critical role in the layout and wiring of electrical components used in tooling systems. This position requires a detail-oriented professional who can ensure proper function and compliance with electrical standards while delivering high-quality results. As a Senior Electrician, your work will involve interpreting engineering drawings, customer specifications, and technical manuals to complete assigned projects accurately. In addition, you will identify and troubleshoot electrical issues, recommending adjustments or repairs as needed to maintain optimal performance. You will lead the installation of pipe and wire on the tool and may coach or advise less senior team members in the technical aspects of the work.
Details about the role:
Work location: Pontiac, MI Work type: On-site at local Paslin locations. Not available for remote work.
Expected hours of work:
Typical work schedules for this site are 6am to 2:30 - 4:30pm, Monday to Friday.
Overtime:
This position is for regular, full-time work and may require coming in early, working late, or working on weekends to meet the needs of the business.
Travel:
This position does not typically require travel.
Work Environment :
This position operates in a manufacturing site environment. This is a safety sensitive role, which includes working around moving equipment and machinery.
Physical Demands:
The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, bend, and twist. This role requires the use of hand tools or equipment. This role may require climbing ladders or using a lift. Occasionally required to lift/push/pull up to 25lbs.
Candidate Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent (preferred) 5+ years of electrical experience in a machine tool shop Knowledge of Electrical Standards, tooling assembly & setup Able to interpret engineering drawings and successfully layout equipment according to blueprints What s in It for
