Job Description

Summary:
We are in search of a versatile non-union electrician experienced in various electrical systems in Milwaukee, Washington, Waukesha County & Madison area. In addition to general electrical duties, including commercial electrical work, the candidate will actively assist with low voltage and fiber optic projects, directional boring, excavation, lifts & bucket truck operation. 1.
General Electrical Duties:
Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial settings. Engage in a range of commercial electrical projects, ensuring all installations and maintenance tasks meet industry standards. Adapt to diverse project requirements, from basic installations to intricate electrical setups. 2. Assisting with
Low Voltage & Fiber Optic Projects:
Actively support the installation, maintenance, and repair of low voltage systems and fiber optic networks. Collaborate with specialists to ensure the optimal functioning of both low voltage and fiber optic systems. 3.
System Testing & Troubleshooting:
Employ testing equipment to assess the performance and safety of various electrical installations. Diagnose and address faults across standard, low voltage, and fiber optic systems. 4.
Safety & Compliance:
Adhere to all local, state, and federal electrical codes. Maintain a commitment to safety, ensuring hazard-free work environments and practices. 5.
Collaboration & Reporting:
Partner with a diverse team of electricians and specialists for comprehensive projects. Regularly report on project progression, challenges encountered, and installation successes. 6.
Continuous Learning:
Stay abreast of the latest innovations and best practices in the electrical, low voltage, and fiber optics sectors. Engage in relevant training sessions and workshops to continually enhance skill sets.
Qualifications:
1. A valid state electrician's license 2. Pass background check 3. Demonstrated experience in a range of electrical system installations, especially in commercial environments. 4. Familiarity and experience with low voltage and fiber optic systems. 5. Knowledge of local, state, and federal electrical code to ensure safe and proper installation of alarm systems and devices. 6. Proficiency in using various electrical testing tools. 7. Robust problem-solving abilities. 8. Superior communication with co-workers and clients 9. Teamwork attitude! 10. Reliable, on time, and committed to working 40 hours per week. 11. The ability to trouble-shoot and think critically, with attention to detail. 12. Valid Driver's License with good driving record 13. Must be able to travel, as needed.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to handle and transport heavy equipment and materials. Comfort in varied work settings, including confined areas, elevated platforms, and outdoor conditions. Stamina to maintain physical activity like standing, kneeling, and climbing for extended durations. Required to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds and will regularly lift up to 25 pounds. The employee is required to walk and stand constantly, sit, use foot/feet to operate machine, climb steps or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, and reach above shoulders. Will regularly talk and listen and move from place to place and will frequently use hands to finger, handle, or touch. Specific vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Schedule:
Between the hours of 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Schedule may vary based on customer demands and can include, but is not limited to, nights, weekends, and holidays. Preferred (but not required): Three to five years electrician experience Specific training or certification in low voltage or fiber optics domains.
