Midlands Electrical is a family owned and operated Commercial Electrical Contractor that has been in business for over 30 years. We are seeking an Journeyman/ Licensed Electrician with at least 5 years experience. Duties Lead and supervise electrical teams on construction sites, ensuring adherence to project timelines and safety protocols. Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to execute precise wiring and system installations. Perform electrical diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on industrial and commercial electrical systems to maintain optimal operation. Install, test, and commission high-voltage and low-voltage electrical wiring systems in accordance with NFPA 70 (National Fire Protection Association standards) and NEC (National Electrical Code). Ensure all work complies with local electrical codes, NFPA 70 standards, and electrical safety procedures. Utilize hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic equipment to identify issues and implement effective solutions. Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and other trades to facilitate seamless project execution during renovation or new construction phases. Skills Extensive experience as an industrial electrician with strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems. Proven commercial electrician experience with a focus on high-voltage wiring and complex electrical installations. Ability to read electrical schematics, blueprints, schematics, and blueprints reading comprehension. Skilled in troubleshooting electrical systems using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters. Deep understanding of NFPA 70 (National Fire Protection Association standards) compliance requirements. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), low voltage systems, and automation controls. Knowledge of local electrical codes, NEC regulations, and safety procedures for electrical work on construction sites or renovation projects. Experience working with high-voltage electrical wiring in industrial settings. Capable of managing multiple projects while maintaining quality standards under tight deadlines. Strong leadership skills with hands-on experience in training or mentoring junior electricians or handyman tasks related to framing carpentry or general construction.

$24.00 - $30.00 per hour
