An Electrician works on electrical systems in buildings. Installs electrical wiring and lighting in new construction, and repairs or upgrade wiring, outlets or other parts of older electrical systems. Checks safety and makes installations or repairs that are in compliance with local building codes. May also specialize in electrical work required in different manufacturing industries, electrical systems for cars, plane or boats, or electrical and lighting work in the film industry.
Electrical Technician / Lead Electrical Technician Join Next Level Technician as a Electrical Technician or Lead Electrical Technician supporting a large-scale commercial/industrial construction project! We're looking for experienced, mechanically skilled technicians who are strong in pathway installation and take pride in accurate, clean work. We have opportunities for both experienced Electrical Technicians and true Working Leads who can install and oversee basket tray, conduit/pipe, supports, and pathway systems in an active construction environment.
Positions Available Lead Conveyance Technicians:
Working leads responsible for running crews of approximately 2-3 technicians
Conveyance Technicians:
Experienced field technicians with hands-on commercial/industrial pathway installation experience Responsibilities Install basket tray, conduit/pipe, supports, and pathway systems Read and work from construction drawings and pathway layouts Take accurate measurements and complete installations according to project specifications Work safely and productively around multiple trades on an active construction site Operate hand and power tools required for pathway installation Work safely from ladders and aerial lifts Maintain clean, professional, and accurate installations Identify field obstacles and communicate issues before they impact production Follow current drawings, RFIs, and project documentation throughout installation Additional Lead Responsibilities Lead and remain hands-on with a crew of approximately 2-3 technicians Lay out daily work directly from construction prints Determine pathway routing and set proper elevations Verify penetration locations and sizes before walls or work areas are closed Assign daily tasks and monitor crew productivity and installation quality Track T&M work and maintain clear, legible daily reports Anticipate and communicate next-day material needs Coordinate work fronts, constraints, and field obstacles with Project Management and the General Contractor Ensure technicians are working from the correct and most current drawings Drawings & Digital Tools Digital drawing management is a major part of this project. PlanGrid and Procore familiarity is required for Lead Technicians and strongly preferred for Conveyance Technicians.
Candidates should be comfortable:
Pulling and confirming the current drawing revision before starting work Reviewing drawings, RFIs, and constraint items from a tablet Identifying and avoiding superseded drawings Red-lining and updating drawings in the field Keeping as-built documentation current as installation progresses Marking up sheets and attaching field photos Closing out punch-list and constraint items within the platform Requirements Verifiable commercial or industrial construction experience Not an entry-level position Hands-on experience installing basket tray AND conduit/pipe Experience installing supports and pathway systems Ability to read a tape measure and work accurately from a layout Proficiency with commercial construction hand and power tools Comfortable working from ladders and lifts Ability to work safely around other trades in an active construction environment Strong attention to detail and installation quality Ability to work independently without constant supervision Lead Technician Requirements Previous experience as a Lead Technician or working crew lead Ability to run approximately 2-3 technicians Strong blueprint and construction drawing experience Proven ability to lay out pathway work, routing, and elevations Experience verifying penetration locations and sizes PlanGrid and Procore experience required Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills Ability to coordinate effectively with Project Managers, General Contractors, and field teams What We're Looking For We're looking for people who have actually performed this work in the field . You do not need to be a journeyman electrician, but you do need hands-on commercial or industrial experience installing supports, tray, and conduit/pipe.
