Payrate:

PDS Tech Commercial, partnering with a leader in the maritime industry, is seeking an experienced Industrial Electrical Technician to help keep critical production equipment operating safely, efficiently, and reliably. This is a hands-on opportunity for an electrical professional who enjoys troubleshooting complex systems, solving equipment challenges, and keeping production moving. Your work will directly support equipment reliability, minimize downtime, and help maintain safe, continuous operations. What You'll Do Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial electrical systems and production equipment. Diagnose electrical issues involving PLCs, VFDs, motors, sensors, controls, and automated systems. Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, conduit, motors, transformers, and power distribution systems. Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation. Perform preventive maintenance to improve equipment reliability and reduce unplanned downtime. Support equipment upgrades, continuous improvement projects, and production initiatives. Maintain accurate maintenance records and work orders. Follow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout (LOTO) requirements. Ensure electrical work is performed in accordance with applicable safety standards and industrial best practices. What You'll Bring Required Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required. 2+ years of industrial electrical maintenance experience in manufacturing, heavy industrial, marine, steel, or a similar environment. Strong troubleshooting skills with industrial controls, automation, PLCs, and motor control systems. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings. Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and industrial electrical best practices. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Commitment to safe work practices and proper LOTO procedures. Preferred Qualifications Journeyman Electrician License or equivalent certification. Experience with PLC programming and advanced troubleshooting. Familiarity with robotics, CNC equipment, or automated manufacturing systems. Experience using CMMS maintenance management systems. Pay Details:
