Electrical Maintenance Technician Maintenance Technician - Electrical Mueller Company (Mueller Co.), the nation's leading manufacturer of flow control devices for the water and gas distribution industries, has an opening in our Chattanooga, TN plant for a Maintenance Electrician. The right candidate will have 4+ years of verifiable work experience in the maintenance field. This position will perform all operations pertaining to the installation, repair and maintenance of a wide variety of electrical equipment and circuitry. The electrician will install, repair and maintain electric motors, programmable drives, high voltage circuits, electrical control panels, programmable logic controllers, etc. Work involves a thorough knowledge of the electrical trade and an understanding of the plant operating principles is required to ensure that equipment functions properly and safely.
Job Responsibilities:
Read and interpret wiring diagrams, blueprints and manuals. Install and maintains electrical equipment, power distribution, lighting, signals and alarms. Trouble shoot and maintain relay logic circuits, starters, motors, electrical metering devices and electrical measuring devises. Fabricates and install metallic and non-metallic conduit, buss duct and wire raceway. Design and build various control panels. Draw schematics. Lubricates electrical motors. Use multi-meters, meggers, amp probes, oscilloscope, signal generators and other electrical/electronic test equipment in the performance of their duties. Update and maintain knowledge of National Electrical Code. Troubleshoot and repair various electronic controls and circuits. Repair circuit boards and electronic components as needed. Trouble shoot and repair programmable controllers, NC, CNC, radio controlled devised and DNC machine tools and equipment. Contain and clean up jobsites. Adapt new methods and procedures as required. Assist other skilled classifications as needed. Perform predictive maintenance checks. Operate production and non-production equipment and machine tools as required in the performance of their duties. Perform preventive maintenance inspections, repairs and adjustments. Instruct trainees when necessary. Participate in additional training as related to their work. Operate material handling equipment, cranes, hoists and man lifts as instructed in the Plant Safety Rules and according to OSHA standards. Maintain equipment and working area in a clean and orderly manner. Perform all duties in the highest standard of productivity and quality. Required four years verifiable experience in a manufacturing environment.
Additional Details :
Must have four years of verifiable trade experience in industrial maintenance. Candidates must be available for all shifts and possible mandatory overtime. Mueller Company offers an excellent salary and benefits package.
