Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and skilled Commercial Electrician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems within commercial environments. Your expertise will ensure that electrical installations comply with all safety standards and local electrical codes, including NEC (National Electrical Code). You will work on a variety of projects, from new construction and renovations to routine maintenance of complex electrical systems, ensuring safety, efficiency, and reliability across all operations. Duties Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair commercial electrical systems including low voltage and high-voltage wiring. Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to accurately execute wiring layouts and system configurations. Perform electrical diagnostics using tools such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, and troubleshooting equipment to identify issues quickly and efficiently. Ensure all work complies with local electrical codes, NEC (National Electrical Code) and electrical safety procedures. Install industrial electrical systems including programmable logic controllers (PLCs), high-voltage wiring, and complex control panels. Conduct routine maintenance on existing electrical infrastructure to prevent failures and improve system performance. Utilize hand tools, power tools, and construction site experience to complete projects safely and efficiently while adhering to project timelines. Requirements Proven experience as a commercial electrician with a strong background in industrial electrical systems. Demonstrated knowledge of NEC standards and local electrical codes. Experience working with high-voltage electrical wiring and industrial electrical systems. Ability to read electrical schematics, blueprints, and schematics accurately. Skilled in troubleshooting electrical systems using diagnostic tools such as voltmeters and ohmmeters. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and low voltage control systems is highly desirable. Construction site experience with renovation projects or new builds is preferred. Strong understanding of electrical safety procedures and protocols to ensure a safe working environment. Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and power equipment effectively on various job sites. Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to troubleshooting complex electrical issues.
