PUMP TECHNICIAN NEEDED
The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, along with experience working with industrial pumps and related systems. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where technical proficiency and proactive problem-solving are valued. Must be able to read wire schematics, know how to use a voltmeter, lift 50 lbs, & know how to use all hand tools.40/50 hrs per week. Permanent work. Paid holidays. Paid accrued vacation. Company truck issued. Company office is in Arlington but we travel all over Texas. Usually only day trip service calls. $20 - $35 depending on experience These duties and skills listed below are preferred but we can train an experienced person. Duties Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on various pump systems including centrifugal, reciprocating, and vertical pumps. Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using schematics, electrical blueprint reading, and diagnostic tools such as voltmeters, ammeters, and ohmmeters. Troubleshoot hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems to identify root causes of equipment failures. Conduct equipment troubleshooting using precision measuring instruments and engineering troubleshooting techniques. Repair or replace pump components such as seals, impellers, bearings, and motors. Read and interpret schematics for electrical systems, PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) controls, and mechanical diagrams. Operate industrial equipment including forklift and excavator preferred but not required. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and ensure compliance with safety standards. Qualifications Strong knowledge of electrical diagnostics. Hands-on experience with equipment troubleshooting and repair Experience in reading schematics, electrical blueprints, and technical manuals. Ability to operate diagnostic tools including voltmeters, ammeters, ohmmeters effectively. Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and their role in automation systems. Experience with industrial electrician tasks including electrical maintenance and troubleshooting. Excellent analysis skills. Fluency in English; additional language skills are a plus.
