What to Expect We are seeking a driven and technically curious Instrumentation & Electrical (I&E) Technician to join our CapEx/OpEx project execution team. You will play a key role in the installation, maintenance, and upgrade of industrial electrical and instrumentation systems across our facilities-focusing on power distribution, control systems, field instrumentation, new equipment integration, and system reliability. This hands-on position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, execution-driven environment and takes pride in precision, problem-solving, and continuous improvement. This role requires a strong foundation in electrical and instrumentation systems, the ability to interpret technical drawings and loop diagrams, and a proactive mindset to ask the right questions and deliver efficient, high-quality work. What You'll Do
Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on industrial electrical systems (MCCs, VFDs, motors, switchgear, panels, lighting, grounding) and instrumentation (transmitters, analyzers, control valves, PLCs/DCS I/O, sensors, and wiring)
Support new equipment installations and upgrades with full I&E integration, termination, loop checks, calibration, and commissioning
Read and interpret electrical drawings, single-lines, P&IDs, loop diagrams, schematics, and as-built documentation to ensure accurate installation and troubleshooting
Collaborate with engineering, operations, and other trades to execute maintenance and project work safely and efficiently
Document work performed using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) with accuracy and timeliness
Identify and report equipment anomalies, safety concerns, or design issues-proactively asking questions to clarify scope and ensure quality
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with all safety and quality standards What You'll Bring
Trade school certification in industrial electrical, instrumentation, mechatronics, or related field preferred, or equivalent experience
5+ years of hands-on experience in industrial I&E maintenance (manufacturing, power generation, or similar environment)
Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical drawings, loop diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment
Experience with CMMS (e.g., SAP, Maximo, EAM, IBM TRIRIGA) and familiarity with conduit/cable installation, terminations, torque specs, and applicable
NEC/NFPA/ISA
standards
Knowledge of lockout/tagout (LOTO), arc flash awareness, energy control procedures, and safety protocols
Must have command of the English language both written and verbal Essential Physical Demands Must be able to lift 50 lbs., work in confined spaces, climb ladders/scaffolding as needed, and stand for extended periods
