Job Description

The senior electrician needs to install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment or fixtures based on job specifications and local codes Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components Test electrical systems or continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures, using testing devices, such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, or oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of system Use a variety of tools or equipment, such as power construction equipment, measuring devices, power tools, testing equipment, such as oscilloscopes, ammeters, or test lamps Inspect electrical systems, equipment, or components to identify hazards, defects, or the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes Installs power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment Connects power supply wires to machines and equipment Connect cables and wire between machine and equipment Diagnose malfunctioning electrical apparatus Replace faulty electrical components of machines such as relays, switches, motors, and position sensing devices Perform daily maintenance and safety checks Ensure compliance of all safety procedures and policies while promoting company's safety culture Perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma or GED required At least 5 years' experience working as an electrician with supervisory skills NCCER and an electrical apprentice license required
SKILLS / KEY COMPETENCIES
Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in construction Excellent verbal and written communication skills Exercise discretion and independent judgement when handling day to day information Excellent time-management skills to plan, organize, and prioritize tasks and responsibilities to meet deadlines and adjust to changing priorities Ability to work cooperatively across all levels delivering on commitments - results oriented Ability to complete work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail Ability to work under pressure to meet department targets and deadlines Ability to work non-routine hours, when necessary Ability and willingness to travel as required
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to work outdoors, exposed to heat and humidity, cold and rain, and around heavy traffic areas Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another Ability to operate job related tools Constantly perform repeating motions that may include feet, leg, wrists, hands and/or fingers Work that includes moving and/or lifting objects up to 50 pounds, carry at least 30 pounds and up to 150 pounds with help Bay Ltd. is an Equal Opportunity Employer
