Overview Join our dynamic team as an Electrician Helper and be a vital part of electrical installation and maintenance projects across diverse construction sites. This energetic role offers the opportunity to develop your skills in both industrial and commercial electrical environments. As an Electrician Helper, you will assist experienced electricians in executing wiring, troubleshooting, and system setup, ensuring safety and quality at every step. This paid position is perfect for motivated individuals eager to learn and grow within the electrical trades. Responsibilities Support licensed electricians by preparing work areas, handling tools, and organizing materials to streamline project workflows. Assist with installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems in accordance with blueprints, schematics, and the National Electrical Code (NEC). Use hand tools and power tools safely to cut, strip, and connect wires, conduits, and electrical components. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to understand project requirements. Help with troubleshooting low voltage and high voltage electrical systems using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters. Maintain a clean and safe construction site environment by following safety protocols related to electrical work. Support the installation of low voltage systems and assist with framing carpentry tasks when needed. Skills Previous experience working as an electrician helper or in related construction roles is highly desirable. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment such as ohmmeters. Strong understanding of electrical systems including low voltage, high voltage, schematics, and NEC standards. Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately. Experience with industrial or commercial electrician projects is a plus. Familiarity with construction site safety procedures and OSHA regulations. Basic knowledge of frame carpentry skills can be beneficial for certain installations.
