Job Overview We are seeking a qualified Licensed Journeyman Electrician to join our dynamic electrical team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems across a variety of commercial and industrial settings. Your expertise will ensure that electrical installations comply with all safety standards, local electrical codes, and industry regulations. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive electrical knowledge, strong troubleshooting skills, and hands-on experience with complex electrical systems. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, including new construction, renovations, and maintenance of high-voltage and low-voltage electrical systems. Duties Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair industrial and commercial electrical systems in accordance with NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code) standards. Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to execute precise wiring layouts. Perform high-voltage wiring tasks safely on construction sites or existing facilities. Use hand tools, power tools, voltmeters, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic equipment to identify electrical faults. Conduct electrical diagnostics to troubleshoot complex issues within industrial electrical systems. Install programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and integrate them into existing automation processes. Ensure all work complies with local electrical codes and safety procedures to maintain a safe work environment. Assist in renovation projects by updating or replacing outdated electrical wiring and components. Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other tradespeople to complete projects on schedule. Maintain accurate documentation of work performed and update electrical schematics as needed. Requirements Proven experience as a Journeyman Electrician with a strong background in industrial and commercial electrical work. Demonstrated knowledge of NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code), NEC (National Electrical Code), and local electrical codes. Extensive experience reading electrical blueprints and schematics accurately. Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical systems using multimeters, voltmeters, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools. Skilled in installing high-voltage wiring and working safely with high-voltage electrical systems. Familiarity with industrial electrical systems, low voltage applications, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs). Construction site experience with a focus on safety procedures related to electrical work. Ability to perform electrical wiring tasks efficiently using hand tools and power tools. Strong understanding of electrical safety procedures to prevent hazards during installation or repair activities. Additional handyman skills or construction experience are advantageous for versatile project support.
