Job Overview Join our dynamic team as an Electrical Apprentice and kick-start your career in the electrical industry! This paid apprenticeship offers a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience working alongside skilled electricians on diverse construction projects. You will develop essential skills in electrical systems, blueprint reading, and safety protocols while contributing to exciting commercial and industrial installations. Duties Assist licensed electricians with installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems on construction sites. Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently to perform wiring, conduit bending, and fixture installation. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to support project execution. Work with low voltage and high voltage systems, ensuring compliance with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards. Conduct basic testing using tools like ohmmeters to troubleshoot electrical circuits and identify faults. Support the setup of electrical panels, framing carpentry, and other structural components necessary for electrical infrastructure. Follow all safety procedures diligently, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), especially when working around high voltage environments. Qualifications Prior experience or familiarity with industrial or commercial electrician work is a plus but not required. Strong interest in learning electrical systems, construction processes, and safety practices. Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment such as ohmmeters confidently. Experience working on construction sites or in related environments is advantageous. Basic understanding of blueprint reading and schematics is preferred. Knowledge of low voltage and high voltage systems is beneficial. Excellent attention to detail, safety-mindedness, and a proactive attitude towards learning new skills. $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
