Journeyman Electrician Taylor, Texas - Client location, Samsung Doota Industrial America is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Journeyman to join our team in the telecommunications infrastructure industry. As a Journeyman, you will oversee and manage conduit installation and maintenance projects within industrial environments. You will lead a team of apprentices and electricians, ensuring that conduit systems are installed and maintained efficiently, safely, and in compliance with all applicable codes and standards. Your role will involve both hands-on technical work and supervisory responsibilities. Responsibilities 1.

Project Oversight and Management:

o Plan, organize, and manage conduit installation and maintenance projects from start to finish, ensuring adherence to project specifications and timelines. o Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met and any changes are properly documented and communicated. o Conduct site assessments to determine the most effective methods for conduit installation and identify any potential issues or obstacles. 2.

Team Leadership:

o Supervise and mentor a team of electricians and apprentices, providing guidance, training, and support on conduit installation and maintenance tasks. o Assign tasks, manage work schedules, and ensure that work is performed according to industry best practices and safety standards. o Conduct regular team meetings to discuss progress, address concerns, and provide updates on project status. 3.

Conduit Installation and Maintenance:

o Oversee and participate in the installation, modification, and repair of various conduit systems, including rigid metal conduit (RMC), intermediate metal conduit (IMC), electrical metallic tubing (EMT), and flexible conduit. o Ensure that all conduit work is completed accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with electrical codes and standards. o Inspect and verify the quality of conduit installations, making any necessary adjustments or corrections. 4.

Material Handling and Logistics:

o Manage the procurement, storage, and distribution of conduit materials and tools required for projects. o Ensure that all materials are handled safely and that proper inventory levels are maintained. 5.

Safety and Compliance:

o Enforce safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment for all team members. o Conduct safety inspections and audits to identify and mitigate potential hazards. o Ensure that all conduit work complies with local, state, and national electrical codes and regulations. 6.

Documentation and Reporting:

o Maintain accurate records of project progress, including installation details, materials used, and any issues encountered. o Prepare and submit detailed reports on project status, including any deviations from the original plan and corrective actions taken. o Ensure that all work is properly documented and that any required permits and inspections are obtained. 7.

Communication and Coordination:

o Act as the primary point of contact for conduit-related projects, coordinating with other trades, contractors, and project stakeholders as needed. o Communicate effectively with team members to ensure that instructions are clear and tasks are understood. o Address and resolve any conflicts or issues that arise during the course of the project. Requirements Requirements Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certification in electrical systems preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in conduit installation and maintenance, with a proven track record in a supervisory or lead role.
  • In-depth knowledge of conduit systems, electrical codes, and safety regulations.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to mentor and motivate a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in various industrial environments and handle physically demanding tasks.
  • OSHA or OSHA 30
  • Ability to travel to Taylor Texas in your own vehicle
Work Environment:
  • Industrial facilities, including manufacturing plants, warehouses, and production areas.
  • Exposure to various environmental conditions, including noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
