Job Overview:

As an Electrician at Primoris Energy Services in Sherman, Texas, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment in a variety of industrial and commercial settings. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical codes, safety procedures, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team to ensure efficient and reliable electrical operations.

Job Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
• Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.
• Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
• Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
• Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes.
• Read blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams to determine the appropriate layout of electrical systems.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations, including Lockout/Tagout procedures.
• Complete all required documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with other trades and team members to ensure project completion.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to apprentices or less experienced electricians.

Job Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Completion of an approved electrician apprenticeship program or equivalent work experience.
• Valid Journeyman Electrician license in Texas or ability to obtain.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a qualified electrician, preferably in industrial or commercial environments.
• Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local electrical codes.
• Proficient in using a variety of electrical testing equipment and hand tools.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to lift heavy objects, work in various weather conditions, and at heights.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
