An Electrician works on electrical systems in buildings. Installs electrical wiring and lighting in new construction, and repairs or upgrade wiring, outlets or other parts of older electrical systems. Checks safety and makes installations or repairs that are in compliance with local building codes. May also specialize in electrical work required in different manufacturing industries, electrical systems for cars, plane or boats, or electrical and lighting work in the film industry.

Performs required maintenance on the plant's building, machinery and equipment.Assists other maintenance personnel in performing mechanical maintenance.
Primary Responsibilities:
Follow and ensure that coworkers adhere to all applicable safe work policies & procedures.Maintain a safe & clean work area.
Troubleshoot electrical and electronic components.
Ensure that all work orders provided are completed as requested, or solution is reached.
Maintain parts inventory.
Complete all paper work and data entry as required.
Assist in the training of coworkers.
Other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
Must be able to read mechanical diagrams and electrical schematics.Must have a good knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Required Skills:
Strong communication skills, both written and verbalIntermediate computer skillsProblem solving and critical thinkingMust be able to read & use a non metric measuring tapeMust be able to count & perform simple mathematics (addition, subtraction, multiplication, & division)Educational Requirements:
High School Diploma or higher preferred, but not requiredAt least 5 years of experience, or documented training.Physical Demands:
The employee is regularly required to walk and talk and hear.The employee is frequently required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
The employee is occasionally required to sit.
Vision requirements include: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
