Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Electrician to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of electrical systems in residential settings. Your expertise will ensure all electrical work complies with safety standards, local electrical codes, and industry regulations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from renovation to new construction, utilizing your technical skills and hands-on experience to deliver high-quality electrical solutions. Duties Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair residential electrical systems, including high-voltage wiring and low-voltage controls Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to accurately execute projects Perform electrical diagnostics using tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters to identify faults and implement effective solutions Ensure all work adheres to NFPA 70 (National Fire Protection Association standards) and NEC (National Electrical Code) requirements for safety and compliance Conduct routine maintenance on electrical systems, including industrial equipment, control panels, and high-voltage circuits Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment safely while following electrical safety procedures at all times Collaborate with construction teams on site to ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining high safety standards Skills Extensive experience as an industrial electrician with a strong understanding of industrial electrical systems and commercial electrical systems Proven ability to read electrical blueprints, schematics, and blueprints reading skills for accurate installation and troubleshooting Knowledge of NFPA 70 compliance standards and local electrical codes to ensure safe practices in all projects Skilled in troubleshooting complex electrical systems using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and circuit testers Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation control systems Familiarity with high-voltage electrical wiring, low-voltage systems, and high voltage safety procedures Ability to perform renovation work on existing structures while adhering to all safety protocols Construction site experience with the ability to adapt quickly in dynamic environments; handyman or frame carpentry skills are a plus Join us as a Journeyman Electrician if you're ready to bring your technical expertise into a rewarding environment where safety, quality craftsmanship, and innovation are at the forefront.
