An Electrician works on electrical systems in buildings. Installs electrical wiring and lighting in new construction, and repairs or upgrade wiring, outlets or other parts of older electrical systems. Checks safety and makes installations or repairs that are in compliance with local building codes. May also specialize in electrical work required in different manufacturing industries, electrical systems for cars, plane or boats, or electrical and lighting work in the film industry.
Industrial Electrician Two Rivers Terminal is seeking a skilled Industrial Electrician to support our fertilizer manufacturing and distribution facilities in Pasco, Moses Lake, and Umatilla. As our Plant Electrician, you'll be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving electrical systems throughout the facility.
Responsibilities include:
Troubleshoot and repair industrial electrical equipment. Install, maintain, and upgrade electrical systems and control panels. Diagnose and repair motors, motor starters, contactors, overloads, and VFDs. Troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment, sensors, instrumentation, and process controls. Install and maintain electrical distribution systems from 24VDC controls through 480V three-phase power. Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals. Perform preventative maintenance to maximize equipment reliability. Assist with facility upgrades, automation improvements, and capital projects. Work closely with production, maintenance, and management to minimize downtime. Maintain a safe work environment while following company safety policies and electrical best practices. Work is performed both indoors and outdoors. Weekend work and overtime may occasionally be required. Qualifications We're looking for someone who is motivated, dependable, and enjoys solving problems.
Preferred qualifications include:
Washington State 01 Journey Electrician license preferred (or equivalent industrial electrical experience). Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems.
Experience with:
480V, 277V, 240V, and 120V electrical systems Three-phase power distribution Motors and motor controls VFDs PLCs and industrial automation Electrical troubleshooting and diagnostics Ability to read electrical schematics and blueprints. Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code. Comfortable using multimeters, clamp meters, insulation testers, and other electrical diagnostic equipment. Basic computer skills. Valid driver's license. Strong communication and organizational skills.
