The Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in commercial and industrial service environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical codes, safety procedures, and the ability to execute service-level repairs independently or as part of a team.

Per Hour BOE Responsibilities:
Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems including conduit, lighting fixtures, electrical panels, and switches. Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform corrective actions to minimize system downtime. Interpret and work from blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams to execute service tasks. Install, bend, and remove conduit to accommodate specific wiring needs. Pull electrical wiring through conduit and connect it to circuit breakers, transformers, and outlets. Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on various electrical components. Ensure all work complies with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local safety standards. Maintain accurate records of service work performed and materials used on-site.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in electrical installations and service repairs within commercial or industrial settings. Possession of necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) and a standard set of electrical hand tools. Demonstrated knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC) standards and safety protocols. Dependable and punctual with a history of working effectively in a field service capacity. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively on various job sites. Reliable transportation to travel to assigned locations in the Spokane area.
Physical Requirements:
Must have manual dexterity, a good sense of balance, and excellent hand-eye coordination. Use hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls. Must be able to climb stairs, ladders, and poles safely. Must be physically capable of pulling wires and cables through conduits. Must be able to work in inclement weather conditions and around wood dust and fumes. May be exposed to heights and loud noises during service operations. Must be able to see color to discern color-coded wiring accurately. Must be able to sit, stand, kneel, stoop, walk, and sit for long periods of time. Must be physically capable of lifting and carrying up to 80 lbs.
Pay Transparency:
The anticipated pay range for this position is $20 to $35 per hour, based on relevant factors such as experience, skills, education, internal equity, and geographic location. Final compensation will be determined during the interview process by the hiring authority.
