This is not a position where you will perform the same repetitive task every day. Our electricians work across a wide variety of residential, commercial, service, and electrical-infrastructure projects. One day may involve troubleshooting a residential electrical problem or upgrading a service; the next may include commercial renovations, underground distribution, generator installations, site lighting, or large service-infrastructure work. We are looking for an electrician who takes pride in doing excellent work, communicates professionally with customers, and can think through problems instead of simply waiting for instructions. What You'll Work On Our project mix includes: Residential service calls, troubleshooting, repairs, and upgrades Residential renovations, additions, and new construction Commercial service work, tenant improvements, renovations, and new installations Electrical service replacements and capacity upgrades 200-amp, 320/400-amp, and larger service-equipment installations Panels, switchgear, meter equipment, disconnects, transformers, and distribution systems Underground electrical distribution and site-infrastructure projects Conduit systems, duct banks, trenching coordination, pull boxes, and equipment pads Standby-generator installations, replacements, maintenance, and troubleshooting Automatic transfer switches and generator-control wiring EV charging equipment and supporting electrical infrastructure Parking-lot, exterior, security, and site-lighting systems LED lighting upgrades and commercial lighting repairs Equipment circuits, feeders, branch circuits, and control wiring Structured wiring, surveillance, and other low-voltage systems when required Electrical-system evaluations and corrective work Emergency and time-sensitive service work Primary Responsibilities As a Journeyman Electrician, you will be expected to: Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in residential and commercial environments Diagnose electrical problems accurately and develop practical, code-compliant solutions Perform service calls professionally from initial customer contact through completion Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, one-line diagrams, panel schedules, and manufacturer instructions Lay out electrical installations before beginning work Install and terminate panels, disconnects, transformers, meter equipment, transfer switches, generators, and related equipment Install conduit systems using EMT, PVC, rigid metal conduit, flexible conduit, and other approved wiring methods Bend conduit accurately and efficiently Pull, identify, terminate, and test conductors Install underground raceways, feeders, handholes, pull boxes, service structures, and site-distribution equipment Complete service changes and coordinate shutdowns and reconnections Verify circuit loading, conductor sizing, overcurrent protection, grounding, bonding, and voltage-drop considerations Locate faults using meters, testing equipment, and systematic troubleshooting methods Inspect existing electrical systems and identify unsafe, damaged, or noncompliant conditions Explain findings and recommended repairs to customers in clear, respectful language Review the work area and project scope before beginning a job Identify additional material, labor, access, or safety requirements before they become delays Complete assigned work safely, neatly, efficiently, and in accordance with company standards Maintain accurate job notes, photographs, material records, and time entries Communicate job progress, changes, and potential problems to management Coordinate effectively with customers, general contractors, inspectors, utilities, vendors, and other trades Lead and train apprentices or helpers assigned to the project Verify that completed work is properly labeled, tested, operational, and ready for inspection Keep service vehicles, tools, equipment, and work areas clean and organized Represent Electrical Excellence professionally at every jobsite Service Electrician Expectations Because service work is an important part of this position, the ideal candidate must be comfortable working directly with customers.

You should be able to:

Listen carefully to a customer's concerns Ask the right questions to narrow down electrical problems Troubleshoot efficiently without replacing parts unnecessarily Clearly explain what failed and why Present repair or upgrade options without using high-pressure sales tactics Help customers understand safety concerns and code requirements Protect the customer's property and leave the work area cleaner than you found it Document the work performed and any additional conditions discovered Maintain a calm and professional attitude, even when a customer is frustrated or a job becomes difficult We are looking for a skilled electrician who can also provide an excellent customer experience. Leadership Responsibilities Journeyman electricians may be paired with an apprentice or helper. In this role, you will be responsible for providing clear direction and maintaining control of the jobsite.

Leadership responsibilities include:

Planning the day's work and assigning appropriate tasks Teaching apprentices proper installation methods Checking work before walls are closed or equipment is energized Reinforcing safety procedures and proper tool use Helping less-experienced employees understand the reason behind the work Maintaining productivity without sacrificing workmanship Communicating material shortages and project obstacles promptly Setting a professional example through attendance, attitude, organization, and workmanship You do not need to know everything, but you must be willing to take ownership, find answers, and help your team succeed.

Required Qualifications Candidates should have:

A valid journeyman electrician license applicable to the work being performed Proven experience performing residential and/or commercial electrical work A strong working knowledge of the National Electrical Code Experience troubleshooting electrical systems Experience installing electrical services, panels, feeders, and branch circuits The ability to read electrical plans, specifications, and equipment instructions The ability to perform basic electrical calculations The ability to use multimeters, clamp meters, circuit tracers, insulation testers, and other diagnostic tools safely The ability to bend and install conduit A valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record Reliable attendance and dependable transportation The ability to work independently and as part of a two-person or larger crew The ability to communicate professionally with customers and coworkers The ability to use a smartphone or tablet for scheduling, job documentation, photographs, and timekeeping The ability to pass any legally permitted pre-employment screening required by the company Preferred Qualifications Additional consideration will be given to candidates with experience in: Commercial service and troubleshooting Large residential or light-commercial services 320/400-amp electrical services Underground distribution and site-infrastructure work Generac or other standby-generator systems Automatic transfer switches and load-management equipment Three-phase systems Transformers and commercial distribution equipment EV charging systems Parking-lot and exterior lighting Aerial-lift operation Structured cabling, surveillance, and low-voltage systems Leading apprentices or small crews Estimating material and labor requirements in the field Working with utilities, inspectors, and general contractors OSHA training, lift certification, trench-safety training, or manufacturer certifications These qualifications are preferred but not all are required.
