An Electrician works on electrical systems in buildings. Installs electrical wiring and lighting in new construction, and repairs or upgrade wiring, outlets or other parts of older electrical systems. Checks safety and makes installations or repairs that are in compliance with local building codes. May also specialize in electrical work required in different manufacturing industries, electrical systems for cars, plane or boats, or electrical and lighting work in the film industry.

Job Description
Will assist with the supervision of electrical construction and electrical facility design along with performing electrical maintenance all within an oil and gas production environment. Electrical facilities consist of motors and motor controls relating to sucker rod pumps, electric submersible pumps, LACT units, saltwater disposal facilities, vapor recovery units, miscellaneous pumps, along with PLC controls, and some instrumentation. This is a field type position that requires working with the tools needed for maintenance. Ability to work well within a team environment is required. This position requires 2+ years' oilfield or industrial related electrical experience performing installs and maintenance along with basic computer skills, a high school diploma or GED. Individual should be familiar with motors and basic control circuits, AC variable frequency drives, relay logic, instruments, instrumentation loops, and basic PLC fundamentals. Knowledge and ability to interpret NEC and electrical code is necessary. Proficiency in any of the following is a plus: industrial communications, PLC programming or other adder logic, instrumentation, oilfield design and wiring methods, managing electricians and projects. Good driving record required. Position will be filled at a level commensurate with experience.
