Job Description
Job Summary:
A to Z Environmental is a selective/heavy demolition and environmental abatement company. We are seeking a detail-oriented Estimator/Project Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for estimating, calculating the total cost of projects by analyzing blueprints, specifications, labor, and materials for projects, develop project budgets, and oversee project execution from inception to completion. Your experience will ensure cost control, effective client communication, and successful project delivery. The ideal candidate is energetic, highly organized, self motivated, willing to learn, has excellent communication skills and possesses a background in selective/heavy demolition construction estimating and project management.RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare detailed estimates for projects by analyzing blueprint drawings, and specifications using estimating software tools. Develop project budgets, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs while ensuring cost efficiency and competitiveness. Attending pre-bid and site/job walk meetings to gain project familiarly for bidding purposes. Familiar with construction management software's like Stack, Procore, Building Connected and Microsoft Office to create spreadsheets, proposals, and reports that support project planning. Manage the entire estimation process from initial inquiry through final bid submission while maintaining clear communication with clients and internal teams. Oversee project execution by coordinating with site managers, reviewing progress, controlling costs, and ensuring adherence to contracts and schedules. Lead the review of construction sites when necessary to gather data for more precise estimates and project planning. Interpret contracts and drawings to ensure accurate estimation.EXPERIENCE
Managing projects as an estimator within the commercial construction industry. Estimating software such as Stack or equivalent, along with blueprint reading and markup. Understanding of blueprint reading, interpreting drawings, material estimating from blueprints, and cost management techniques. Hands-on experience on construction sites is desirable to enhance understanding of field conditions affecting estimates. Familiarity with contracts, project management, cost control strategies, and estimating for selective/heavy demolition commercial projects is essential. Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage multiple projects efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. Familiar with heavy equipment necessary to coordinate and run projects.Pay:
