Job Description
Cost ownership, not spreadsheet babysitting. A major semiconductor construction program in Chandler, Arizona needs a cost engineer who runs their scope of the budget like it is their own money. You will not be formatting other people's numbers. You will own budgets, forecasts, and change control on one of the largest capital programs in the country and defend them in the room. What the seat involves You own cost for your assigned scope end to end. Setting budgets from estimates, tracking commitments and actuals, building monthly forecasts that hold up under questioning, running earned value against physical progress, and pricing change before it becomes a surprise. You work alongside scheduling, procurement, and construction leads, and your reporting goes in front of people who make decisions with it. Who this suits You have done cost engineering or cost control on large construction or EPC programs, not just project accounting. You can walk me through a forecast you built, what moved it, and how you defended it. You know earned value as a working tool, not a definition. You are comfortable onsite five days a week with a field based team. Semiconductor, data center, power, or heavy industrial background helps but is not the gate. Straight terms $60 to $77 per hour W2 depending on experience. Long term contract on a multi year program in Chandler, AZ, fully onsite. Local is the easy path, but if you would be relocating or need per diem, tell me what you actually need and I will put it in front of the client rather than guessing for you. If this reads like your work, apply with a resume that shows the programs and the numbers. I review every application personally and respond to relevant applicants within one business day. I work a short list, not a funnel. SD123
